Forum
Youth Action FORUM is a national magazine published by and for youth. FORUM’s mandate is to provide a space for young people to share their thoughts, opinions and experiences with other youth across Canada and to motivate youth to be proactive in their communities.
The Fall 2009 edition of FORUM is based on the theme ’social networking for social change’. Responding to this theme may include reflection on questions such as: How do you find like-minded peers? What role does technology play in your development of communities? How have the changes brought about by social networking and globalization affected the way you see and react to the world? Submissions related to youth activism that do not reflect this theme may still be considered for publication, so please send them in or email forum@youthactionnetwork.org for further discussion and information.
How to submit:
We welcome your submissions in the form of articles, interviews, poetry, music lyrics, personal reflections, rants, short stories, photography, visual art, etc. Multimedia submissions (i.e. YouTube videos) are also appreciated and will be featured on our website (www.youthactionnetwork.org). Written submissions should be no longer than 1500 words in length. Please email all submissions by August 31st
to forum@youthactionnetwork.org.
We’re always looking for new volunteers to assist with layout, art, content, writing, funding, and distribution. If you’re interested in becoming an Editorial Collective member and helping with the publication of FORUM, we’d love to hear from you!
