Youth Week 2009 is looking for individuals, groups, and organizations that are interested in hosting their own event as part of Youth Week. The theme this year is Art and Activism. So if you are part of a radical theatre group, dance troop, artist collective, music group, environmental club, community video project, or any other socially engaged organization of youth we are looking for you! Your event can be an exhibit, screening, performance night, workshop, public intervention, protest, conference, or any other kind of event you feel will excite and inspire other youth to become active.

do we have to be in a group to join or can you be an individual performer? I was once in a poetry group years ago…we could come toegther as a group but would be performing individually. if possible.

Great to be here, The Slumcode Group will definitely be hosting an event to celebrate its 3rd annivesary, cum youth week {by donating desks, books, uniform, food amidst music and dance} then The Grand Slumfest III on World Aids Day.
